Why Very Healthy Habits?
In the digital age, with all kinds of information instantly available, the health & fitness industry has gone bananas. There are suddenly thousands of different ways to sleep, breathe, work out, eat, think, smile, behave, love, hate, and so on.
In reality, it is truly not that complicated. And no, you do not need a whole bunch of supplements, gear, and gadgets to be healthy. All you need is a connection to yourself, a basic understanding of the human mind and body, and a willingness to do the right things for yourself at the right time.
At Very Healthy Habits, we build on four basic physical needs of human beings; sleep, breath, nourishment, and movement. We focus on simple actions that can help you make better choices related to your basic needs, and we create tools to help you prioritize all of them equally.
A fifth, and most significant, healthy habit we promote is all about the importance of good mental health, with the purpose of achieving long-lasting inner peace. We all want to live a happy, fulfilling life with purpose and meaning, and that is exactly what we are here to help you achieve!
Meet The Founders
When we met, there was an instant connection. It is not often you meet people who share your world views so deeply, and with whom you can talk to about anything and everything without judgement. It became very clear, very quickly, that we needed to create something together; and so we decided that we wanted to help people heal and grow by sharing our experiences through Very Healthy Habits.

Health is my top priority, and it shows in the way I live my life. I eat clean, I work out daily, I meditate, I laugh, I dance, I sleep, and I observe. I feel like I am meant to share my insight with as many people as I possibly can, and hopefully inspire others to prioritize health in their lives as well.
Growing up I always wanted to get out of my hometown, see the world, and become a big deal in whatever I was doing. I was tough on the outside, but sensitive on the inside. Of course, no one knew my sensitive side, not even me. When I was 23 years old, studying Finance in London, working out like a maniac, I “suddenly” became ill. And a couple years later I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I used to laugh at people who were “just tired all the time”, so naturally when I ended up in that situation myself it felt like I had failed, tremendously.
It took me 5 years of frustration, confusion, and sadness to finally understand that the only one that could get me out of that situation was me. I started doing lots of research, I tried many different alternative treatments and methods, all promising to help. But nothing happened. It was not until I adopted a plant based diet that I started to see change. Within the first week of me being vegan, I went from 10% energy to about 50% energy, and that is when I truly started believing that I could get out this for real.
Fast forward to present day, I am 34, healthy, and I have been for the last couple of years. Adopting a plant based lifestyle was the push I needed to really understand that I had the power to heal all along, and it led me on the path of self discovery and personal development. I truly believe that we all have a purpose, and I now understand why I got sick in the first place. Life will guide you to where you need to be, and if you do not listen the road will be bumpy. Life will literally force you to change if you have a habit of going down the wrong path. I did, and so I needed to be benched for a while in order for me to find the right one.
Very Healthy Habits is a project I am very excited about. I get to share what I have learned, inspire others who find themselves in similar situations, and hopefully help the rest of you adopt a healthier lifestyle so you do not have to go through what I did.

I grew up thinking that happiness can be found through external sources. As long as I left my home country, found my people, and fully embraced my own interests, inner peace and happiness would follow. This proved partly true, yet only partly. Traveling the world taught me love, gratitude, and appreciation. It left me in a state of permanent awe. Awe of the kindness in every country, the beauty in every culture, and the unlimited pool of wisdom available to those who dare to listen. Traveling initiated the personal growth I needed in order to finally live in line with my truest self.
Living in Italy taught me a love for food and healthy eating straight from the soil. Life in China introduced me to ancient Eastern wisdom, Taoistic principles, herbal medicine, and the importance of balance. Malawi showed me the beauty of slow living; the value of a simple life, and the healing powers of growing my own food. Uganda showered me with humor. Through twists and turns, it taught me to neither take myself, nor life, too damn seriously. Thailand forced me to go with the flow, to lean back, and to trust the process.
India was a revolution! It chewed me up and spat me out; a whole new person. It killed my ego a thousand times, introduced me to the depths of unconditional love and to the wisdom of our ancestors. To plant based living, and to the value of a smile. And finally, in the hardest of ways, it taught me that true happiness can only come from within. Through loss and longing, it showed me how lasting happiness prevails only through inner peace and conscious living. After a decade of searching, I found that the answer was, in fact, always within.
Today, I am living in my 8th country and thriving. I find true joy in inspiring others, and there is nothing I hope for more than every single being on earth daring to live in line with their true inner selves. To me, that's exactly what Very Healthy Habits is all about.
